BINGO     BREED: Border Collie / Hound; GENDER: Male; AGE: Senior; SIZE: Medium Bingo is a sweet boy.  He and his littermates were dumped in the parking lot at our vet's office a few years back.  All his litter mates were adopted, but Bingo was left behind.  He loves people and will be a great companion for a middle age couple.  Bingo suffers from a minor skin condition that regular baths and a calm life style will keep in check. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:  None
	CHELSEA   BREED:  Labrador / Hound; GENDER: Female; AGE: Senior; SIZE:  Large Chelsea is a young-at-heart lab mix who loves everyone, especially when offering a good scratch or hug, and begs for more with a paw.  She gets along well with other dogs, is not food aggressive, takes treats gently, and is currently sharing a kennel.  Chelsea appears housebroken since I have never had to clean any of "you know what" out of her kennel.  She likes to be outdoors, and will romp and play, but loves a good soft bed.  Fence gate latches need to be locked since she knows how to lift up the latch with her nose, very quickly!  She would make a wonderful and devoted pet for someone. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:  Not sure about cats.
	CHINA  BREED: American Staffordshire Terrier / American Bulldog; GENDER: Female; AGE: Senior; SIZE: Medium China is very friendly, has a sweet personality, and enjoys being around people and plays well witth other dogs.  However, she is not particularly fond of cats.  She loves attention and to play, as all cutie dogs!  Even for a dog her age she has energy and loves to run and play so a mature couple with older children (8 and up) would be preferred.  She is not food aggressive, takes treats gently, and I can even get her to come over for a scratch while eating.   I call her "little bowling ball" since she is black, roundish and muscular.  Her first activity once the kennel door is opened is to run over and get her pats, hugs and scratches.   She will provide many years of unconditional love in a good home. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:  Not fond of cats.
	EMMA  BREED: Shepard Mix; GENDER: Female; AGE: Senior; SIZE: Medium Emma is a very special dog.  She is to dogs what the "O" blood type donor is to humans, a universal blood donor for dogs. Emma has saved many dogs' lives by giving blood over the last 5 years.  However, it is time now for her to find a loving home with a family who will treat her as the special dog she is.  She needs to be in a home without other animals, but is loving and gentle with people.   SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: No other pets
	CHABLIS   BREED: Husky GENDER: Female  AGE: Adult  SIZE: Medium Chablis was rescued from a shelter that still gases their strays.  She is a bit shy when around other animals but is extremely sweet and gentle.  She was rescued with her brother Heineken. She is housebroken, crate trained, and no sign of aggression at all.  A fenced yard is a must; her and her brother love to run!  The two would make a good addition to anyones family. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:  No small children.
	HONEY   BREED: German / Belgian Shepherd / Malinois Mix; GENDER: Female; AGE: Senior; SIZE: Large Because of her mix, Honey has a beautiful red-colored coat and pointed ears.  She has a short coat that is low maintenance and she appears to be housebroken.  Honey is happy-go-lucky, free spirited, and loves to play with anyone that will give of their time.  She likes to follow the volunteers around while they clean sampling everyone's water(?).  While she gets along with (a better word might be tolerates) other dogs she would do better in a home without other animals.  She would also do well with older children that will love her, as she still has a bit of energy.   SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: No other pets
	NEPTUNE  BREED: ; GENDER: Male; AGE: Adult; SIZE: Medium   Found on Neptune Beach, our Neptune is a beautiful dog with pretty markings and coloring. He is also very intelligent. He weighs in at approximately 47 pounds. He is playful and gets along with other dogs. He loves to play outside and romp around the backyard with a playmate. Neptune would make a wonderful pet for a loving family. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:  Food agressive toward other dogs
	OLIVIA      BREED: Beagle / Hound; GENDER: Female; AGE: Young; SIZE: Small Olivia is still a baby at heart at less than a year old.   She was found wondering on a busy street and brought to safety of the shelter.  She is a typical puppy full of energy and love...kisses, kisses and more kisses.   Olivia is currently housed with Rowdy and appears to get along well with other dogs, but may be too energetic for senior pooches (10+).  If you would like to foster Olivia until she finds her forever home she would love to visit for awhile. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: No small children
	ROWDY      BREED: Rottweiler / Hound; GENDER: Male; AGE: Young; SIZE: Medium Rowdy is still a real youngster.  We received a call from a man who said Rowdy had a broken leg and if we did not take him he would shoot him to put him out of his misery.  After the vet examined Rowdy she confirmed it was a broken leg, but it was in an area where she thinks he was kicked.  Now out of the cast, Rowdy is running and playing with the rest of our furry residents.  He loves to be scratched and gives lots of kisses.  He is crate trained and knows the words “no”, “come” and “down”; apparently, a smart little boy.  Rowdy deserves the rest of his life to be better then the beginning.  If you would like to foster Rowdy till he finds his forever home he would love to visit for awhile. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: No small children
	SWEET BOY   BREED: Labrador Mix;  GENDER: Male; AGE: Adult; SIZE: Large Sweet Boy fits his name to a tee and is a smarty (can open kennel doors).  He has a very gentle and loving nature.  He is also fun loving and enjoys a good run now and then.  He welcomes attention and is well socialized. However, like many others, the cat is not his friend. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: No cats
	STUART  BREED:  Terrier / Spitz; GENDER: Male; AGE: Adult; SIZE: Medium Stuart was left at the clinic tied to a pole.  He is about 6 yrs old and weighs about 25 pounds.  He gets along with other dogs and likes to play, but is a little shy.  Since he has pointy ears he is sometimes called “Elfin Dog”. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: Likes to chew when bored
	WHOOPIE   BREED: Hound / Shepherd; GENDER: Female; AGE: Adult; SIZE: Medium If you love a fairly calm dog, one that gets along with other dogs, and loves people (kisses and wet nose pokes abound) Whoopie is your pooch.  She is cute, frisky, and enjoys being with people.  She would love to be in a home that will provide a place to run and someone to play with, preferably not a cat. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: No cats
